Wheel and Clay and Rue the Day were both produced by Miriam Laurence’s production company, Ensemble Film Group Productions. The films were based on a cooperative model and featured actors from her intermediate and advanced classes. Both films were produced in 2004 and recieved grants from the Ontario Arts Council. Rue the Day, premiered at the Los Angeles International Film Festival in 2005.
