Wheel and Clay and Rue the Day were both produced by Miriam Laurence’s production company, Ensemble Film Group Productions. The films were based on a cooperative model and featured actors from her intermediate classes. Rue the Day, premiered at the Los Angeles International Film Festival in 2005.
